Ways & Means

 

Purpose

    Our Ways and Means Committee leads the fundraising for our capital campaign. Right now we are focusing on replacing the roof and the clerestory windows. The estimated budget for the project is $750,000. The first phase of our capital campaign involved selling slates to donors. In that way we raised about $80,000. We are now in the second phase of the campaign, attempting to raise more funds to march a generous $350,000 matching grant from the State of New York. We are always seeking grants and other donations to aid our project.

Training

    The committee provides training in grant writing and accounting.

Why join?

    Preserving this church is an important job. We enjoy bringing the needs of the building to the attention of the congregation and the community. People feel good about what we are doing.
